I received many positive feedback from my article on 10 Personal Packing Tips. The post also shared some of the recommended gadgets to ease your travel. I found many items from the post are included in this year’s Prime Day deals, and thought I’d share with you the items that I have actually purchased, used, and recommend.

Given the pros and cons presented, you can choose your packing buddies. I have used these exact packing bags:

If traveling abroad, having an adapter is a must. It is more economical to purchase one before your trip. We once forgot ours and had to purchase one in Amsterdam airport with a hefty price. There are many options out there, one to consider:

International plug adapter

As noted in my packing tips article, bringing a portable digital hanging baggage scale can help to avoid baggage overweight charges and also save you the hassle of having to shift items at the airport.

In case of baggage overweight, or if you return from the trip with souvenirs, bringing an extra bag is a life-saver! I personally find this Ultralight foldable backpack very useful. I have a red one.

The key to not having to pack so much clothes is finding a place with a washing machine (a dryer is not always available, especially in Europe). Instead of having to find liquid detergent in a foreign country, or bringing messy detergent pods, Laundry detergent sheets serve the same purpose, but more convenient and safer (no spill).

No time to dine out, or just wanting to save money, eating-in a few times during your trip is an economical option. We brought the Collapsible kettle and Collapsible bowls with fork with us to our trips to Yosemite and Iceland, and found them so useful that we continued to do so on our trips thereafter.

On another travel tips post, I noted that scarves or sarongs can double as a blanket on your flight. If you are not accustomed to use either one, then consider bringing a Travel blanket & pillow set. I personally have not used this item myself since I am a scarf user, but I have read great reviews on it.

There are a few more hours for Prime Day event. I find the deals are quite good if you ever consider getting these gadgets.
